Gregurich Ministries in Kenya:
Thirty Years of Faith, Friendship and Fruitfulness

June 2026 marks a sacred milestone for me personally and and for Gregurich Ministries USA - thirty years of ministry partnership with Christ Miracle Gospel Ministry in Kenya, led by my dear friend and brother, Archbishop Alex Ouma Owuoth.

What began in the mid-1990s as a simple step of obedience has become one of the great gifts of my life. I could not have imagined then how deeply God would tertwine our journeys, our ministries and our hearts. Looking back now, I can only say with humility and awe; The Lord has done this.

This story spans continents, generations and thousands of lives touched by the power of the gospel of Jesus Chjrist. Two men who answered God's call and later discovered that the Lord had been weaving our paths together long before we ever met.

Two Streams Becoming One

Picture
Ezekiel 47:1-12 paints a vivid picture of a river flowing from the house of God; deepening, widening and growing stronger. Wherever the river flows, life springs up.

This vision has become a prophetic picture of the partnership between Gregurich Ministries and Christ Miracle Gospel Ministry in Kenya. Two streams, different in origin but one in purpose, carried along by the same Spirit of God.
Where those streams have met life has increased.
Hope has been restored.
A generation has been lifted.

The Call and the Journey

In 1980, a young man hungry for God, I sensed a clear call on my life: to preach Christ, strengthen the church and raise leaders. That calling has guided every season of ministry I have walked through; pastoral work, global missions, teaching and ultimately the formation of Gregurich Ministries.

When I first set foot in Kenya, I encountered something that marked me forever - a people with deep spiritual hunger and leaders eager to be equipped. In my spirit, I knew this was not a short-term assignment. It was a covenant.

Over the decades, my love for Kenya has only deepened. Together, we have taught pastors, trained leaders, invested in children and supported local visionaries who faithfully carry the gospel into villages, schools and marketplaces across their nation.

Archbishop Alex Ouma Owuoth - A Brother Given by God

Picture
Archbishop Alex Ouma Owuoth's journey is one that speaks of faith, humility and unwavering devotion to Christ. Raised in western Kenya, he answered God's call with courage, founding Christ Miracle Gospel Ministry with prayer, compassion and an evangelist's heart for the unreached.

From the beginning, I recognized in him not only a leader but a spiritual brother. Someone whose heart beat in rhythm with the Great Commission. His love for the people of Kenya, his faithfulness to the Church and his servant leadership have made him a pillar in East Africa and a trusted partner in the work of Christ.
When Alex and I first met nearly three decades ago, there was no strategic plan, no organizational merger and no committee vote. What we had was something far more enduring; a witness of the Holy Spirit.

What followed has been 30 years of:
  • Pastors equipped and strengthened
  • Children educated, fed and disciplined
  • Churches planted in villages and towns
  • Leaders trained, mentored and sent
  • Communities reached through compassion and the gospel
  • Mission teams serving across Kenya from the capital to the western border.

We have lived out the truth of Amos 3:3 - "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" (KJV)
By God's grace, we have walked together in faith, in friendship and in mission.

Thirty Years of Tangible Fruit

Picture
Through our partnership with Trinity Mixed Academy in Muhoroni, thousands of children have received education, meals, uniforms, discipleship and the assurance that they are known and loved by God. Many now serve as teachers, business owners, ministers and community leaders.
Through conferences, leadership seminars and pastoral training, the church in Kenya has been strengthened across multiple counties. What began as simple gatherings has grown into a sustained equipping movement.
Through compassion initiatives, water projects, school facilities, teaching and training, families and villages have experienced practical hope alongside the gospel.
And through consistent, long-term mission partnership, teams from the United States have formed relationships that transcend culture and geography, serving with humilty, love and honor, year after year.

A Friendship Forged in Faith

Alex and I have walked through seasons of victory, challenge and growth together. We have prayed together, dreamed together, built together and stood shoulder to shoulder as the needs of ministry and the world have changed.
This has never been merely a partnership. It is a brotherhood.

The River Still Rises

Ezekiel's river does not recede, it deepens:
"And by the river upon the bank thereof....shall grow all trees for meat....and the fruit thereof shall be for meat and the leaf thereof for medicine."
Ezekiel 47:12 KJV

As we step into the next decade, I believe the river is rising again:

Greater impact among children
Expanded leadership development
Stronger church networks
Deeper discipleship
Broader mission engagement
Fresh outpourings of the Spirit

The same God who began this work will surely continue it.

A Moment to Remember & to Look Ahead

June 2026 is more than a date. It is a monument of remembrance.

God did this.
God brought two leaders together.
God joined two ministries into one river.
God has touched lives across Kenya and the United States.
And God is not finished.
I honor Archbishop Alex Ouma Owuoth for his vision, compassion and leadership. I give thanks for the churches, supporters and friends who have prayed, given, traveld and stood with us for three decades. Above all, I give glory to Jesus Christ - the Head of the Church - who guides every step and empowers every work.

One River. One Mission. One Lord.

Two nations.
Two Ministries.
Two men who said yes to God.

United by the Spirit, we have become a living river of grace, truth and transformation. Wherever these waters have flowed, life has followed.
Here's to thirty years of God's faithfulness and to many more years of fruitfulness as the river continues to rise.
               With gratitude and faith,
                      - Dr. Tad A. Gregurich
           President of Gregurich Ministries USA
